How to measure your watch

Case diameter. Lay a ruler across the face, from one side of the case to the other, without the crown. Read it in millimeters.

Case thickness. Measure from the caseback to the top of the crystal, from the side.

Wrist size. Wrap a soft tape or a strip of paper just below the wrist bone, then measure its length.

The bowl is 1.8 in (4.5 cm) deep and curves up on every side, so a ring dropped in rolls back to the middle instead of off the edge. A watch set down at night stays inside instead of being pushed across a bare dresser.

The tray is carved from walnut, so the grain runs across the whole bowl, and the rim is rounded smooth. Care takes seconds: wipe it with a soft, dry cloth and keep it away from standing water and direct heat.
