How to measure your watch

Case diameter. Lay a ruler across the face, from one side of the case to the other, without the crown. Read it in millimeters.

Case thickness. Measure from the caseback to the top of the crystal, from the side.

Wrist size. Wrap a soft tape or a strip of paper just below the wrist bone, then measure its length.

Soft fabric where the case rests

The bars are covered in a soft, velvet-like cream fabric, so the caseback and the clasp rest on fabric, not bare wood. The close-up shows the fabric meeting the solid wood curve.

Displayed upright, watches no longer lie on their crystals on a hard surface or slide into each other in a dish. Wipe the wood with a soft, dry cloth and brush the fabric lightly to remove dust. Keep it out of direct sunlight.

Two bars, several watches and bracelets

Two soft bars, one above the other, take watches and bracelets closed around them. The bars sit on either side of the curve, offset, so the pieces on the upper bar hang clear of those on the lower one.

The stand is 9.4 in (24 cm) wide and 9.1 in (23 cm) high on a 4.7 in (12 cm) base. Count the pieces you wear in a week, and measure the dresser or vanity space before ordering. Slim bracelets take less room on a bar than a watch.
